Grapevine Power of Ten Special – Shifty Shortcuts



 Did you know that the “Shift” key on your keyboard does more than capitalise letters? Try these Shifty shortcuts to speed things up.

SHIFT+F1 Nothing – Since 2003 version
SHIFT+F2 Adds or edits a cell comment
SHIFT+F3 Displays the Insert Function dialog box
SHIFT+F4 Repeats the last Find action
SHIFT+F5 Displays the Find and Replace dialog box, with the Find tab selected
SHIFT+F6 Switches between the worksheet, Zoom controls, task pane, and Ribbon
SHIFT+F7 Displays Research panel (2010 version)
SHIFT+F8 Enables you to add a nonadjacent cell or range to a selection of cells by using the arrow keys
SHIFT+F9 Calculates the active worksheet
SHIFT+F10 Displays the shortcut menu for a selected item – (Right Mouse click)
SHIFT+F11 Inserts a new worksheet
SHIFT+F12 Save
Shift + Arrow keys Selects the active cell and the cell in the given direction
Shift + Backspace Selects the active cell when multiple cells are selected
Shift + Delete Cuts the current selection to the clipboard (same as Ctrl X)
Shift + Enter Enters the contents of the active cell and moves to the cell above
Shift + Home Extends the selection to the first column
Shift + Insert Enters the data from the clipboard
Shift + Page Down Extends the selection down one screen
Shift + Page Up Extends the selection up one screen
Shift + Spacebar Selects the current row
Shift + Tab Enters the contents of the active cell and moves one cell to the left
